2019 Advisory Summit

March 12-14, 2019 Morrison Academy Taichung, TAIWAN

  • WHO:  Teachers, administrators, counselors, chaplains, Advisory Coordinators, and/or those exploring the idea of an advisory program.
  • WHAT:  Christian School Advisory Program Summit would be a time of sharing, collaboration, discussion and observation of advisory meetings in action.  
  • WHEN: March 12-14, 2019
  • WHERE: Morrison Academy, Taichung campus in Taichung, Taiwan. Morrison recommends you fly into Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) or Taichung Airport (RMQ) Directions to Morrison Academy
  • WHY:   To connect with other Christian schools attempting or maintaining advisory programs through collaboration, discussion, training, and networking.  
  • COST: 100 USD or 3,000 NTD paid with cash or check to Morrison Academy at time of arrival.   
  • This fee covers the cost of breakfast, lunches, and snacks, supplies and dorm-style accommodations on campus.  No fee reduction if staying off campus.

Synopsis – Arriving on Tuesday evening, participants will be able to travel to Morrison Academy for a good night’s rest.  On-campus housing will be available in empty dorm rooms as a part of the Summit fee, but you are welcome to stay off campus at your own cost. On Wednesday, after an early morning breakfast together, we will observe high school advisory groups in action at their normal meeting times and locations.  We’ll then have a mix of special sessions and speakers in small group meetings with high school advisory leaders and then high school advisory group members (students).

After an evening out with dinner and a visit to a local famous night market, we’ll begin again with an early morning breakfast on Thursday and then observe middle school advisory groups in action at their normal meeting times and locations.  We’ll again have a mix of special sessions and speakers in small group meetings with middle school advisory leaders and middle school advisory group members (students). We’ll end our time together mid-afternoon on Thursday.
