Morrison Academy is a fully accredited K-12 educational institution. Our school is currently accredited through two internationally recognized accreditation associations: the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
Both organizations require exacting compliance with the strictest of standards for educational facilities to ensure both excellence in educational quality as well as continuity with existing educational systems in the United States and other western-based educational systems.
Toward this end, both ACSI and WASC have carefully examined Morrison's commitment to our mission statement, Vision for our learners, curriculum, facilities, staff development, and school management systems. They have certified that our school meets the high rigorous standards that these accrediting organizations have deemed essential.
Morrison Academy first received WASC accreditation on June 24th, 1977 and ACSI accreditation on June 1st, 1998. Our current accreditation extends through 2021, at which time Morrison will again be examined. Annually, the school submits a report to both associations to report on the school and its progress. Currently, the school is accredited for the six year, 2015-2021. ACSI and WASC require a midterm visit at the three year mark. Self-Study Reports are completed every six years. Morrison Academy’s latest Accreditation Self-Study was completed in February of 2021. In preparation for the 2021 visit, Morrison completed the REACH self-study, which resulted in a report containing the school profile, changes that had taken place since 2016, and a school-wide action plan for continued improvement.
