Eighth grade students in this final year of middle school often are role models of maturity for the younger students as they lead in academic and extra-curricular activities. As bodies mature and emotions play their role in adolescent development, the school provides opportunities for hands-on inquiry-based learning, projects, and physical activity. Students can choose to participate in sports tournaments, band and orchestra concerts, and drama productions. Exploratory learning is provided through an elective course each quarter. Specialists teach Mandarin Chinese, art, music, physical education, and library skills. Each has a vital part in your eighth grader’s week.
